Location
We are ideally situated in North Cumbria for easy access to Scotland and the Borders to the North and the Lake District to the South. The historic city of Carlisle is only 7 miles away or you can be at the Solway Coast within minutes. The Solway Coast has an abundance of natural landscapes and is renowned for its spectacular sunsets. It has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and offers a great variety of wildlife, birdlife and flora and fauna. The 'western' end of the Hadrian's Roman Wall is only about 3 miles away at Bowness on Solway and has become a very popular walk.
You can literally see the Scottish hills from the North facing windows and the Lake District Fells from the South facing windows.
